By purchasing tickets to The Dinner Detective, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully. The Dinner Detective reserves the right to refuse entry, deny service, or remove any guest who does not comply with these terms.
Show Policy
DRESS CODE: Business casual or dressy casual attire is required unless otherwise noted. Logoed or printed T-shirts, shorts, ball caps, flip-flops, and torn clothing are not permitted. Jeans are allowed unless specified otherwise.
MINIMUM AGE: The minimum age varies by location—typically 15 or older. Check your venue’s FAQ page for specific requirements. Babies, toddlers, and young children are not permitted.
SPECIAL EFFECTS: Performances may include prop guns, simulated gunshots, and brief lighting outages as part of the experience.
REFUNDS/RESCHEDULING/CHANGES: All ticket sales are final. Due to our binding commitments with venues, we cannot offer refunds—full or partial—for any reason, including, but not limited to illness, injury, emergencies, inclement weather or travel cancellations. To protect your investment, we offer optional ticket insurance through Allianz at checkout, which may reimburse you for covered reasons (see Allianz policy details for terms and conditions). If you need to reschedule, you may do so at least 7 days before your event for a $20 per ticket fee; no transfers are permitted within 7 days. Meal changes are not allowed within 4 days of the event or on-site.
WEAPON/CONCEALED CARRY POLICY: Weapons, including those with concealed carry permits, are strictly prohibited at all locations, regardless of local laws.
CHECK-IN POLICY: Seating is pre-assigned and shared at the event. Arrive 15 minutes before check-in with your confirmation and a valid photo ID. Tickets unclaimed 45 minutes after check-in begins may be forfeited without refund.
FOOD, ALCOHOL & DISRUPTION POLICY: Outside food and drinks are prohibited—no exceptions. To-go boxes are not allowed due to health codes and venue rules. A full bar opens at check-in, and many locations have an ATM available on-site. Guests arriving visibly intoxicated or becoming disruptive may be denied service or asked to leave without a refund.
FILMING & VIDEO RECORDING: Filming or video recording during the show is prohibited without prior written consent from Dinner Detective Productions Inc. This protects the performance’s integrity and guest privacy. Unauthorized recording may result in device confiscation and/or removal from the venue without a refund.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK: By attending, you assume all risks related to exposure to viruses or other hazards. The Dinner Detective and its venues take preventive measures but cannot guarantee a risk-free environment. You agree to follow all venue rules, local ordinances, and event instructions, and to inform your party of these terms. You release The Dinner Detective, its affiliates, and related entities from any claims arising from your attendance.
