We took that idea and ran with it. One of our favorite storylines, “Heiress You Didn’t Hear This From Me,” was born. In our version, she disappears with the hot dog vendor. Because why not?
In our show, he’s not just any hot dog vendor—he’s a former circus magician turned sausage artist who speaks only in riddles and owns three ferrets named after famous outlaws. It’s weird. It’s wonderful. It’s Dinner Detective.

The Great Derby Diamond Heist
All right, so this one isn’t technically a cold case because the diamonds may or may not have existed. But according to legend (and at least one overly chatty Uber driver), during the Kentucky Derby in the 1960s, a mysterious European socialite lost her million-dollar diamond necklace. Some say it was stolen, others say it was a publicity stunt. We say: what a fabulous setup for a Dinner Detective mystery!
Our version, “The Galloping Gem Job,” features a fake horse named Glue Stick, a jockey with a secret, and a diamond hidden in a bread roll. It’s pure, theatrical, and gold.
