Hard to believe it’s only been a year…
1) As of October 24th 2025, I am now 20 years old. If I could show myself a year ago the place I’m in now, I’m not sure he would believe me. I’m so incredibly blessed to be where I am today, and I owe it all to my family, my friends new and old, and my faith.
2) Last October, I was going to school for Computer Science at New Mexico Tech. My friends helped me celebrate with a vanilla cake to the face! While I was having a blast meeting new people, exploring Socorro NM, and making unforgettable memories, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something just wasn’t right, and that I wasn’t where I needed to be.
3) I dove deeper into prayer and my faith, and while on Thanksgiving break with my family, visiting the Grand Canyon, I realized college was not the place I was supposed to be, that God had other plans for my life.
4) The overall hardest part about leaving school was the friends I made in that short semester. Rides in the bed of a truck, 4am runs to McDonalds and climbing any building with sturdy enough handholds. I made the most of my time in college, with a healthy of mix of dumb fun.
5) After Christmas with my family, I went back to Colorado to spend one more week in my hometown. I caught up with friends, family, and my mentors. A New Year’s party, surrounded by some of my closest friends, was the perfect way to launch into 2025.
6) At the beginning of January, I moved to my new home in Florida. My Aunt Billy, Uncle Ryan, and my cousin William welcomed me into their home as I kicked off my new career. According to William, I’m not allowed to leave XD.
7) After a couple days of getting settled in, I began my new job with Plumbing Professionals of Florida, training as an apprentice out in the field. I’ve gotten the chance to learn alongside experts, who have taught me everything I know about this vast trade.
8) Thanks to this job, I’ve had the opportunity to travel all over Florida, and see so many things and places I never would have been able to. This picture was taken on top of a 12 story building!
