And with the approaching fall season that means it’s also time to start planning loads of fun date nights and family outings to help celebrate the spooky season. Sure, you might think it’s early now, but all of these ideas book well in advance, so show your special someone just how organized you are and get your fall season booked early!

Visit The Pumpkin Patch

Every year, the Galloping Grace Ranch offers up a fun pumpkin patch in honor of the season. Open throughout the entire month of October, you’ll find a corn pit, harvest maze, a scarecrow dress up, tractor races, pumpkin bowling, roping and so much more fun – even putt-putt golf and a mud pie kitchen. Of course, it all includes pumpkins, so you’ll be able to take home your very own pumpkin from the on-site patch – plus tons of specialty pumpkins, gourds and other seasonal décor. Admission is only $4 per person and there is more info and lots of details online so you can plan out your fun fall festival experience at The Pumpkin Patch.

BOO-lloon Mania

Albuquerque is known for big balloons and the fall season is certainly included. The Albuquerque Balloon Museum will open its annual Halloween Party to the public on October 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Titled BOO-lloon Mania, this seasonal event includes a community-created luminaria and jack-o-lantern display where you’re encouraged to bring your own gourds and balloons to add to the exhibit. You’ll also be invited to decorate pumpkins and balloons while you’re there. Plus, be sure to bring the kiddos and their Halloween costumes for some super fun and totally safe trick-or-treating.

Albucreepy Ghost Walk

Looking for something a bit spookier? Then you’ll flip for the Albucreepy Downtown Ghost Walk. This 100-minute ghost walk takes you throughout the Downtown area on a 1.3 mile exploration of the dark, seedy past of Albuquerque. You’ll check out historic landmarks that are reportedly haunted – including the KiMo Theater, the Wool Warehouse, Freed Building and the Old Bernallillo County Courthouse, plus all tour guides are experienced paranormal investigators. As you progress through the walk, your guide will share tales of ghosts, how to detect paranormal activity and lots more interactive exploration.
